SERMON SERIES
SERVANT LEADERS
OCTOBER 18 – NOVEMBER 1
Everyone has the potential to be a servant leader, but what are the characteristics we should look for? How might we develop ourselves to become a servant leader? The Bible gives us examples of great and not so great leaders. This series will look at the difference between a mediocre servant leader and a great servant leader; and discover ways to help us pursue our own calling to leadership.

DRIVE TO THE POLLS
Floris UMC believes voting is important. We have partnered with other local churches to help find volunteers who are available to drive people to their polling station, in order to vote from October 13-30 and November 3. If you can volunteer your time to serve as a driver, please sign up at www.tinyurl.com/nova-vote-drive. If you need a ride to the polls, please sign up at www.tinyurl.com/nova-vote-ride.

9:15 AM Worship Song Lyrics

You are Jesus, Son of God, Son of man
I call you savior, with nail scarred hands
You will be my sun in the morning light
Bringing redemption to my dark night

Beautiful surrender is where I wanna be
Locked into your arms, for all eternity
Come and take my hand, you can lead me where you please
That beautiful surrender is chasing after me

I am beloved, full of faith, standing tall
Confident and brave, ready to fall
Into your light, you are the voice that call
With no reservation, I surrender all

I surrender all my heart and soul to you my love

Take every treasure, take this life

Everything’s on the altar now
No holding back, no holding out
In view of Your matchless sacrifice
Take every treasure, take this life

All that I am for all that You are, my Lord
All that I have for all that You are, You’re the
Pearl beyond price, greater than life
All that I am for all that You are

Selfish ambition and my pride
I’m giving up, I’m letting die
In these empty hands I have it all, have it all
The pure joy of knowing You, my Lord

All that I am for all that You are, my Lord
All that I have for all that You are, You’re the
Pearl beyond price, greater than life
All that I am for all that You are

It’s only in surrender that I’m free
It’s only in surrender that I’m truly free
It’s only in surrender that I’m free
All I have is Yours, my Lord
It’s only in surrender that I’m truly free
I am free, I am free indeed
I am free, I am free indeed

All that I am for all that You are, my Lord
All that I have for all that You are, You’re the
Pearl beyond price, greater than life
All that I am for all that You are

Come, thou Fount of every blessing,
tune my heart to sing thy grace;
streams of mercy, never ceasing,
call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount I’m fixed upon it
mount of God’s redeeming love.

Here I find my greatest treasure;
hither by thy help I’ve come;
and I hope, by thy good pleasure,
safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
wandering from the fold of God;
he, to rescue me from danger,
bought me with his precious blood.

Oh, to grace how great a debtor
daily I’m constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter,
bind my wandering heart to thee:
prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
prone to leave the God I love;
here’s my heart, O take and seal it;
seal it for thy courts above.

11 AM Worship Song Lyrics

O Lord my God
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds
Thy hands have made
I see the stars
I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout
The universe displayed

Then sings my soul
My Savior God to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
Then sings my soul
My Savior God to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art

When thru the woods
And forest glades I wander
And hear the birds
Sing sweetly in the trees
When I look down
From lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook
And feel the gentle breeze

Then sings my soul
My Savior God to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
Then sings my soul
My Savior God to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art

And when I think
That God his Son not sparing
Sent him to die
I scarce can take it in
That on the cross
My burden gladly bearing
He bled and died
To take away my sin

Then sings my soul
My Savior God to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
Then sings my soul
My Savior God to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art

When Christ shall come
With shout of acclamation
And take me home
What joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow
In humble adoration
And there proclaim
My God how great thou art

Then sings my soul
My Savior God to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
Then sings my soul
My Savior God to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art

Breathe on me breath of God
Fill me with life anew
That I may love what thou dost love
And do what thou wouldst do

Breathe on me breath of God
Until my heart is pure
Until with thee I will one will
To do and to endure

Breathe on me breath of God
Till I am wholly thine
Till all this earthly part of me
Glows with thy fire divine

Breathe on me breath of God
So shall I never die
But live with thee the perfect life
Of thine eternity
